SHOW DESCRIPTION

Today’s episode is a true calling for self-reflection as Glen Rux and Rohit Rohila share about their thoughts on being accountable and what it does to us when we are not pushing and holding ourselves accountable.

Accountability can come in many ways and areas of life – relationships, work, pets, driving, you name it. Your actions toward something and what comes out of it – you have to take responsibility for it. Everything that happens to you and around you will have to do directly or indirectly with you, so why not cut the bull shit and start owning up? In today’s world, we are always looking for an escape. We will always try to blame and find excuses from external resources, but we will never look within ourselves and own up to the results of our actions. What most people fail to realize is that accountability might sound negative, but it can be viewed as positive if you believe in it. If you actually hold yourself accountable for an action, then it will prepare you better for the next project. This is something that we are not born with, but have to learn. This is a must skill that we need to get better at because directly or indirectly it has been affecting your whole life.

Let’s take a look at where you are in your life; whether you are in Ivy League College, working on Wall Street, or a janitor at a local middle school – you are here because of your choices and your success. How much of that would you say is because of your actions and accountability from it vs the Universe just landing with fruits on your lap? I will bet you that most of your success is based on your actions which we are driven by having focus and mindset which in the end is being reflected by the level of accountability you hold YOURSELF for achieving or not achieving that task. If you set your mind on something and make it your belief to finish that, then you will do that without a problem and with the best results.

To sum up, accountability is something that you need to learn in order to GYST. Improve yourself in these 3 areas (Self-Motivation, Responsibility, and Personal Accountability) and your success might surprise you!
