SHOW DESCRIPTION

Welcome back, listeners!

Today’s episode is a very powerful episode as Glen shares quite a bit about how we let ourselves go at times and what we can do proactively to bring proper in your life. As we grow older we often start asking ourselves can I do better? How have I gotten to this place? I really didn’t plan for this, is this really my life now?

Most of us don’t pursue happiness in the right way. We put our happiness on invaluable items and we spend tons and tons of time on it, but we don’t put that same responsibility on ourselves. We should be making changes to make our lives happy for the long term and not just short term. You and only you have the power to change your future. So why is that we don’t hold ourselves accountable? We always try to blame other people but ourselves.

Over time, these frustrations can lead us to negative state which we don’t want to be in, but subconsciously we end up doing it to ourselves. If you don’t like being overweight, then go to the gym. You don’t like going to the gym, then don’t go, but then don’t hold fast food restaurants accountable for you eating 2 Big Macs, Large Coke and Ice Cream Sundae.

Another way we can relate to is our love-hate relationship with our jobs. If you are there just to get paid but hate the job, then DON’T GO! No one is forcing you to go except for yourself and the only reason why you force yourself to go is that you convince yourself that it’s your manager’s fault that you must be in the office 8-5. People don’t want to take the blame and until you learn to do that, you will never take personal responsibility and move forward in life.

Personal Responsibility is a very broad subject yet very personal. It’s a simple concept that applies to all parts of our lives: work, relationship, mental, physical, friendship, reputation and more. Start take pride in your work, and when you do that when you start becoming more confident, that’s when you will take responsibility of your actions have a better view of yourself and your surroundings. That’s where we want to be at because that’s the moment when you start giving a shit and start GETTING YOUR SHIT TOGETHER
