SHOW DESCRIPTION

When we first started this podcast, we had one major intention, to help people get their sh*t together. This is one of those episodes where we really help you do that, but not in our typical way.

This episode features Kyle & Rohit as they talk about what people truly mean, when they say, “I want to but….”. See the majority of the times that we use this phrase, it’s because there is something that we don’t want to do, like helping someone move or take someone to the airport. We feel that by saying we want to, that we are letting the person know we are still being a good friend, however there are external circumstances that are preventing us from being able to help. Everything from an early meeting to not having a babysitter.

But what about those times that we say we DO want to do something, and still say “I want to, but…”. What is the message that we are saying then? What does it mean about our intentions? Most of the time when we say this, what our subconscious is really saying is, “This sounds interesting, but I really have no intention of ever doing it.”

Think about how often you use that phrase without any real intention of doing anything… “I want to go to the gym but….”, “I want to lose weight but…”, “I want to get a new job but….”.

Now the challenge, listen to this episode. Then listen to yourself. How often do you say that phrase and what do you really mean to say?
